Craniosacral Therapy: Conscious Touch for Deep Trauma (formerly Level 3)

16 CE Hours    9am – 6pm     $450

Class Description:

If you have been practicing bodywork for a while, you know that true healing is wholistic and multi-dimensional.  People are seeking to heal more than the most recent injury or the most obvious.  They can be stuck in old patterns of trauma and pain. We need skills to see and touch more deeply and consciously. And we need effective techniques to release the trauma and return the body to a sense of wholeness and safety.

In this class, we will begin to expand our vision and our reach by connecting with the Three Tides: The Cranial Rhythmic Impulse (CRI), the "mid-tide" (or midwave), and the "Long Tide".  With this broader awareness, we can see where trauma is held in the cranial system and its interface with the nervous system, fascia, fluid, soft tissue, neuro peptides and the energy field.  We will perform a full Vagus Sweep protocol.  We will learn how to use intuition and inner site as invaluable tools to uncover and treat these patterns held for years in the cells and the emotions.  Finally, we will honor the body’s own dance of release and freedom with Unwinding Techniques. Additionally, we will learn a complete set of next level of techniques to expand your existing 10 Step Protocol and how to utilize specific CST SOAP notes to track your client’s progress.

Pre-requisite: Craniosacral Level 1 or similar.

Muscle Melting: Non-Force Deep Tissue Massage

8 CE Hours   9am – 6pm  $225

Class Description:

To many people, Deep Tissue Massage means hard, aggressive, painful

techniques meant to force the muscle to release tension. This type of work can leave the client

with increased pain and the therapist burned out with stressed hands and joints. The latest

anatomy research and development of advanced techniques show us the way to work in

cooperation with the nervous system, the muscle proprioceptors, and the lymphatic system,

engaging the body’s own healing mechanisms in order to release muscle tension and pain more

thoroughly, deeply, and gently. This class will teach the therapist to identify and flush

inflammation out of the muscles in preparation for deep work. Slow, sinking strokes performed

with soft hands and optimal body alignment will calm the nervous system and lower proprioceptive activity. Energy flows will be offered for those who are geared that way. Effective, specific routines of non-force, deep tissue massage for the low back and hips, upper back and neck will be demonstrated and practiced.
